You can create a charitable remainder unitrust with cash or appreciated property. The trust sells your property tax-free and provides you with income for life or a term of years. When you pass away the remaining trust assets go to a fund at the Community Foundation.

Donating appreciated assets, including stocks or bonds, is an easy and tax-effective way for you to make a gift to a fund at the Community Foundation.
